Which Palin is funnier Michael or Sarah?

Asked by ucme (50047points) February 10th, 2010

Could you please back up your opinion with examples of the worthy winners “comedic” talent.I realise Michael has a very good body of work behind him already which probably gives him the edge, but she has to be admired for her recent surge up the comedy ladder. Especially being a novice in that field. I’m sure she’s a very nice woman, she’s certainly hot for a politician anyway.

Intentionally- Michael
Unintentionally- Sarah

Michael is funnier because the laughs are not tinged with fear and sadness that comes from knowing that people actually think Sarah is a great leader whose ideas should be listened to.

Is whose right there or is it who’s? I’m really thrown on that lately.

@AstroChuck GIve that man a ceegar, well scratch that you’re obviously way too young to smoke. Anyway, correct answer.

I dunno. I do not find her hot. I do not even find her particularly attractive. Her head is too blocky for my taste and emits that general feeling of 5 hours makeup session. Her hairstyle is also a turn off.

Please don’t put that other name in the same sentence with my beloved Michael! Oh, no no no no!

Michael.

He is a relief from the painfully funny Sarah Palin.

@aprilsimnel I bet that’s what he says.Although tremendous material he could use, if only for anecdotes.

Gee – I didn’t know they were married!

ucme's avatar

@janbb No no no no,She’s his bastard offspring sshh don’t tell anyone.

She’s only a Palin by marriage, so it’s her husband who might be (distantly) related.

Another argument for Michael: Sarah get’s funnier when her mannerisms are performed by someone with better comedic skills (i.e. Tina Fey). Can you imagine someone re-doing a Michal Palin bit and being funnier (consistently)?

One of them could only ever be called “Boring” here.

@lloydbird I love ripping yarns, particular favourite is the one about public school life. Being chased by the school leopard brilliant.

Hard to compete with these Sarah gems:

“They are also building schools for the Afghan children so that there is hope and opportunity in our neighboring country of Afghanistan.”

“I think on a national level your Department of Law [ note to Brits: there is no Department of Law in the US gov’t ] there in the White House would look at some of the things that we’ve been charged with and automatically throw them out.”

“The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s ‘death panel’ so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their ‘level of productivity in society,’ whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.”

A Fish Called Wanda is proof that Michael Palin is much more of an asset to planet Earth than Sarah Palin will ever be!

I might be slightly bias though, Michael Palin is one of my favourite men of all time kept from the top spot only by my dad and my boyfriend!
