How is this site any different from Yahoo Answers and its cornucopia of BS and attempted-funny answers, rather than meaningful responses?

human behavior is prone toward swaying from reality, its what the entertainment industry thrives on.

Humanity desires to be a collective. You have the dynamics of a school or family.

Read these responses. You have people that project a higher level of intelligence, class clowns, meaningless responses etc.

Well, the quality of the answer depends on the quality of the question. Lately, the latter has been dismal. QED.

Until lately, it had a very high signal-to-noise ratio.

Would you attribute that to iPhone users?

@Riser: there’s a significant correlation, in that the signal-to-noise ratio plummeted when the mass of iPhone users showed up. I’m not sure if that’s enough to establish causation.
