My iPhone is stuck trying to send an email, any ideas? (see details)

Asked by Axemusica (9500points) February 19th, 2010 from iPhone

So the other day I was recording some video on my iPhone 3G using an app called qik video. With this app you can email the video and post to facebook if you wanted to.

Well, I tried emailing a video to a friend and the app froze. This was almost a week ago and when I open my email now it is slowed down and crashes because it’s still trying to send the email. I have no idea how to stop this. I can’t even read an email without it crashing & it’s draining battery life due to it still trying to send this.

Anyone have any idea how I can solve this? I’ve tried turning it off, hard starting it & syncing it. I’m out of ideas.

If you’ve tried all those options and nothing worked then you might have to restore it. That’s the only thing I can think about right now.

Call the Iphone people. Get a product specialist though. The people who answer the phone know little, though they pretend they do. They will put you on hold for life while they look up the answer that a product specialist knows off the top of his or her head. 800–275-2273 is the number, I think.

Use snail mail.

@plethora thanks. He had me delete the app which didn’t work & then delete the email info & re-enter it & that worked.
