I have strep, now what?

I have had a horribly sore throat, stiff neck, and aching head with a high fever for the past 3 days and 3 nights. I finally got myself to the doctor today, and was told I have strep and was given antibiotics to start immediately. So I started immediately. Only, that’s not gonna help make the sore throat or stiff neck or headache go away for the next 24 hours and I’m on my rope’s end. Is there anything ANYTHING I can do to give myself a much-needed break? I’ve been drinking tea nonstop, and had my first bite of any food-type thing today which was yogurt/jello (as the doctor told me to do). We’re gonna try for some soup tonight.
