Is anyone else having problems giving Lurve?

I’m not sure with lurve limits. Do they register on the page but not the members total? Sometimes I’ve had to click more than once to register lurve.

How the lurve limits work, I’m not certain. I’ve heard secondhand that one jelly can only rate another 100 times total, but how that is implemented is a Bendrewim issue.

Some of us who immgrated from sites that had no limits are probably in for a shock. I tend to be promiscuous with lurve-giving. I’ll likely slam into a wall soon.

I came across some comments that said your allowed to give out so many points and when you hit the limit, that’s it.

I hope there isn’t a lurve limit, I don’t like the sound of that.

@Leanne1986 , You know what? Now that you mentin it, I’ve had three GA’s since I logged on and my score hasn’t changed.
@ldeb I don’t know how it happened, but I just got the Cake in the Frizzer award. I don’t dare try to think about that kind of thing, as my cheese has a tendency to slide off my cracker at the drop of a hat.

Answering your question: What is a great answer…like beauty, “in the eye’s of the beholder!” Personally, i’m very generous with lurves as when a person gives their opinion, who am i say it is not a great answer.

@stranger_in_a_strange_land, you’re right,. I sometimes have to hit the GA several times to get it to work, too.

I’m not sure about the limit being 100 or if it actually exists, cause I know I’ve given more than 20 GA’s.

Oh my GOD! Bet me they jakked it up last night! Right? That’s it. Whatever they did last night had affected the ability to give Lurve!

@ldeb The Atlantis awards have secret criteria, part of the fun. I understand that some of them are like an easter egg hunt, having to post a certain thing on a certain thread. Others you have to do some unspecified thing.

I was under the impression that there was a limit to the amount of lurve you can give to each individual jelly but not to how much lurve you can give in general, anyone know if this is correct?

@Leanne1986 It surely isn’t the whole total! That’d run out pretty quick. I thought it was PER PERSON, too.

@Leanne1986 I believe that the limit is how much you can give to one individual. The exact amount and whether it has ever changed, I don’t know.

This is probably in reaction to other sites that don’t have such limits; groups (cliques?) formed that awarded points to each other. Point totals shot into the stratosphere, leaving newbies frustrated. On one site, point totals of “leaders” were approaching three quaters of a million.

You are maxed out on an individual after you give them 100 points. You can still lurve them but it won’t add to their total lurve. It does still show up as a GA. Many of us still do it, even though we’ve maxed out on someone, as a High 5. There is no maximum to the amount of lurve you can award in toto.

I think any problems today are just a temporary glitch.

I say Lurve or leave her.

You can hand out as many GA’s as you want, but the person will only get lurve points for the first 100 points you give them. That’s why high lurve jellies begin accumulating lurve slower. It’s all good.

@Judi is correct. I just gave her a great answer but her score did not go up.

I can’t get the “great answer” or “great question” buttons to work no matter how many times I push them/click on the links.

@Dr_Dredd. It’s definitely not the laptop I’m working on. I was able to give you lurve just now. It’s test lurve but it still counts.

I just tried and could not.
I also tried to bring up thritymaid and it did not work.

I still can’t give lurve, I was hoping that it would be back to normal today but it isn’t. This is making me sad :(

Thanks. I agree but then I’m biased. I’ve got some great Blues playing right now. Blue Method, produced by Scott Stallone out of Philadelphia PA. I’m in upstate NY. We’ re getting hammered by a huge snowstorm right now, up to two feet.

I am also having this problem. Just sent an e-mail to them about it. Going to try and re-load the website or maybe even restart my computer.

@BoBo1946 All I know is that if I consider something to be a GA then I feel the need to acknowledge that. I felt very restrained when I couldn’t do that.
