I assume you mean sniffing as in spray cans. In most places it is not illegal, although some, where the problem is endemic, have legislated against it.

No, being stupid is not illegal.

I believe most paint has a label that says “use of this product inconsistent with its labeling is a federal crime” or something to that effect.

(1) Probably hard to enforce (e.g., you don’t have posession of anything illegal)
(2) Solvents in paint have three interesting properties: they damage brain tissue (that’s the high), damage your liver, and get stored in your body’s fat cells, meaning that years later they can come back and damage liver, kidneys, etc.

you cant ultimately stop someone from huffing paint unless you ban spray paint and that would be pretty stupid. If you are dumb enough to huff paint to get high then you deserve to die. That’s the way I see it.

I can’t recall ever reading about anyone being arrested or prosecuted in a court of human law. But life has it’s own way of passing judgement on colossally stupid behavior. It’s called death. ‘Nuff said.

I sure hope it is not illegal because if you wanna huff paint products then I’d like for you to go ahead and huff as much as possible. I’ve heard you get even higher if you do it in your car, with the garage sealed while reving the engine.
