Compressing WAV files?

So I’ve got an mp3 file that I converted over to .wav for a friend to put on his synthesizer, but the synth is limited to files under 4MB, and the WAV, when converted is a whopping 32mb. Is there any way I can make that file smaller without sacrificing a ton of quality. The bitrate isn’t too important, I just need to be able to hear the instruments.
Is this possible?
