I bought a dress that was a few sizes smaller, and wanted to wear it for an important function. That gave me enough incentive to stick at the diet…. I used to look at the dress each evening, and eventually I reached my goal.

Just keep up with the diet and eventually you will lose weight.

I think Weight Watchers is one of the soundest, healthiest programs around. I lost 17 pounds on it years ago; unfortunately they keep finding me again! (But that’s a continual struggle.)

I have lost 28 pounds so far but am stuck at the moment…I’m in a rut…today isn’t the best day to answer this question so I’ll come back to it if and when I’m feeling more positive…needless to say 28 pounds is pretty successful :-/

@MorenoMelissa1 Many thanks for your comments. It isn’t easy losing weight. The facts speak for themselves – a healthy diet and exercise, but buying the dress really helped me.

The one thing I can say about loosing weight an exerising is that in the end you will feel absolutely fabulous. You never realize how much weight drags your energy until you’ve actually lost it. The best way to discribe it is you feel younger and extremely energetic.
Have you ever gotten sick and stayed sick for a long while (like a bad cold) and then you took some meds and you were suddenly able to breathe so much better and you could move around easier without needing to push yourself through the day. Its the same way. In the end you will feel like an improved new version of yourself. Small body aches will be a thing of the past. Walking up a hill or steps will feel effortless and you’ll have a ton more energy to get through your day and do more than you thought possible with little effort. Congrats, your body will thank you for the caring.
