why is there a limit on the amount of edits I can perform on a single post?

Asked by Riser (3485points) March 5th, 2008 from iPhone

I am an iPhone user and out of respect for this community I am trying to maintain an unwritten code of errorless posts – hence the need for several edits.

Unfortunately iPhone does not have an ability to scroll up and down in an editable text box so if one has to edit something g at the top of that text box he had to select that section and commit to memory the edit he is about to perform because that section of text will disappear from sight.

I am only trying to respect this community but my hands are tied if I am limited like this.

Highest Regards,

what do you mean respect this community? Are you afraid of a few errors and what people would think? I’m an iPhone user as well, so I get what you are saying.

You can scroll up and down with the iPhone.

Here is how:

Press and tap on the text until the magnifying glass shows, then drag to the top of the box or drag down.

I would like to add that some sort of script is attached to the iPhone fluther input box that can make scrolling impossible at some point. Since we can’t see the results of the spelling error script described last night, a clean Form tag with nothing special might be nice! :)

Yeah that trick doesn’t work on this website unfortunately.

Some people make this a “grammer” site and get all upset when people misspell stuff or ask “easy” questions. My opinion is if you don’t like the question or the way it is composed then move on. My gosh if that kind of stuff bothers someone they really need help. I understand avoiding profanity because young people use this site but personally if I don’t like the question I use the “not interested” button. People need to realize that not everyone speaks English as a first language. This is a site on the WORLD WIDE WEB.
