Does the buttons background color at Fluther.com made with CSS only or it is an image?

I mean the Previous, Continue, Ask Fluther and other html buttons. Does the background (White at the top – Blue at the bottom) is CSS only or this is an image?

I was the same buttons effects in all kind of web sites. Where can I learn to do that with CSS and others nice effects like this one?
