Do you think that the elected presidents should lead their countries, or get married with ugly ex-models?

what? i think you’ll need to elaborate on the question to get answers to this. or maybe i’m just not up to date on current news issues…

Personal lives do not determine leadership capabilities.

Have aught with Sarkozy? I’m more troubled with his other bedfellow, Dubya.

ahhh! i gotcha! i don’t see why they can’t do both. and i agree with squirbel. at least, dubya’s time is coming to an end.

also, i think society has become too wrapped up in the personal lives of public figures, be they politicians, athletes, or entertainers.

Are you speaking of Venezualas leaders obsesion over Naomi Campbell?

I agree with the squirbel. This reminds me of a classic scenario

—————————————————————————————————————————
It is time to elect a new world leader. Here are the facts
about the three candidates.

Candidate A. = Associated with crooked politicians, and
consulted with an astrologist. He’s had two mistresses. He
also chain smoked and drank 8 to 10 martinis per day.

Candidate B. = He was kicked out of office twice, slept
until noon, used opium in college and drank a quart of
whiskey every evening.

Candidate C. = He was a decorated war hero, a vegetarian,
didn’t smoke, drank an occasional beer and never cheated on
his wife.

Candidate A is Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Candidate B is Winston Churchill.
Candidate C is Adolph Hitler.

…which just goes to show that there is more to a leader than their personal life.

@perchik – Churchill used opium in college? Fascinating.

I think Carla Bruni is kind of hot. And her music album isn’t bad either. But that’s beside the point. I agree with those above, that the personal life of a pres isn’t so important in the grand scheme of things. If Sarkozy can do a decent job, he can walk hand-in-hand on the beach with whomever he wants.

@christy, I used that example without actually doing the research. I’ve seen that example before…and I just found a website that claims to have done some of the research. It appears some things were embellished, here’s the link

i mean, well, she’s not “ugly,” but she could lighten up on the mascara on the lower eyelid.
