What is the most romantic thing your s/o could ever do/has done for you?

I’m trying to keep some spontaneity in my relationship. What better source than Fluther?

Well, my boyfriend and I are huge nerds so when he does sweet things for me, it’s usually really nerdy. The best example I can think of is when he gives me good magic cards he wins even though he could sell them for a few bucks.

However, the likelihood that you are both as nerdy as we are is low so I would say a nice romantic gesture from my boyfriend would be if he spontaneously took me hiking one day.

When he accept me the way I am. That’s the most romantic moment for me. Otherwise,we couldn’t continue our relationship. I also love when he say he wants to spent his whole time just with me. Sometime I expect a romantic dinner with him(which he never realized).

As a matter of fact, KatawaGrey, I believe we are probably >/= your nerdiness :D I play sax, clarinet, flute, trumpet, trombone, and guitar. She’s sax, flute, and piccolo. We are as band-nerdy and jazz-nerdy as we can get! ...so keep up with the nerdy answers too!!!

Secretly setting the clock ahead one hour so we have extra time in the morning for love making. It was such a gift to be able to go back under the covers. Mmm.

A surprise picnic lunch during the week.

Haha, well, in that case, I used to date a band nerd and he would put aside some time for me after his shows which was really sweet. He also let me try and fail to play his trumpet which was extra sweet considering how I murdered that poor instrument.

It doesn’t sound romantic, but when he surprises me by doing chores when I least expect it. I was out running errands the other night and still had to come home to make dinner. I knew it would be a late dinner since I wouldn’t get home until after 7pm. I was not looking forward to it. When I arrived home, he had the spaghetti sauce simmering and the water boiling for the noodles. I would have done him right there in the kitchen if the children hadn’t been home!

When my wife went to Alaska for a week she arranged it so that I received little presents everyday: movies, candy, cards, a puzzle…

Folding my dress shirts is up there with the subscription to Yoga Journal she got me.

He moved across the country to be with me a few months after we met. But that would be tough for you to reproduce.

The old standbys work well. He’s surprised me with flowers a few times and it made me smile for days. And many times he has made me dinner while I was being insane with schoolwork. It’s always nice to feel taken care of, or to have your needs anticipated.

I’m a sucker for musical performances. If my boyfriend ever wrote a song for me, or learned to play something for me, I’d be all over him. Well, I’m already all over him. I suppose I’d be more all over him.

Once a guy put a note that we would be together forever and threw it into the ocean in China. Then he proposed to me in the mountains of China. Let’s see. I’ve had someone give me a necklace pendant their mother gave them.

The most recent would have to be caring for me after my unexpected surgery. After I had our first son, I needed help showering, but only once and not much else. Since I had surgery this time, he had to help me so I didn’t fall in the shower, he also helped change my underwear multiple times, and made sure I had the proper pads on so I wouldn’t bleed all over myself..because I couldn’t bend because of the incision. He never once complained and was happy to help me in any way. I’m so happy to have him, because nothing would ever change his love for me…even seeing me at my physical worst. And it just comforts me, and I know that if god forbid something serious ever happened to one of us, like cancer or a bad accident, we’d still care for the other like we always did.

Could do:
They could take me someplace that has a fireplace, whirlpool bathtub and no dog smell or dogs under the farking blankets where we’d hole up for a few days eating yum yums, sleeping in and making love all over the place. Somewhere in the mix would be a diamond and a proposal along with a commitment for continued healthy lifestyle.

Has done: Took me out of town to a part of my state I’d not imagined was so beautiful and treated me to train ride through the mountains and gorgeous old hotel.

He came home one night with a gift, it was something I wanted when we were younger and we couldn’t afford it. I had forgotten all about it, he never did. One day he walked in gave me this gift and the gift of remembering the me I was back then.
