Love in Deed is Love in Deed.

Asked by john65pennington (29258points) March 12th, 2010

I just passed a church near my home and noticed this saying on its church sign outside the church. as i continued to drive home, i kept wondering over and over in my mind, just what these words meant. i must admit, that i have not solved the problem of these words. if you understand their meaning, please define them for me. what does the phrase Love in Deed is Love in Deed mean?

Deed spelled backwards is…

well, don’t want to spoil it for you. God might be telling you to go to church this Sunday and find out for yourself

Don’t forget to take your checkbook!

It means if you put love into your actions then you are truly acting out of love.
They really should have written it as “Love in deed is love indeed”

A friend in need is a friend, indeed.

Wait. Huh?

Do you think the words were incorrectly inserted in the wrong places? i am still confused.

When your deeds are done with love, that is love in deed.

@john65pennington Religious people insert everything incorrectly.

I think it was one of those semiliterate Bible School ministers, or a semiliterate well-meaning readerboard assistant trying to spell out what @FutureMemory wrote.

Well, if you can make it into a cute phrase, it must be true~

I think the sign was supposed to read, “Love in deed is love, indeed!”
In which case, @thriftymaid has it correct.
