General Question

What are the best scents a man can wear for his woman, or da ladies (only if he's single)?

Asked by coogan (692points) March 14th, 2010

Ladies, what scents arouse you in the most intoxicating ways? Fellas, what colognes have turned your love kitten into a sexual lioness…a ravenous cougar…an insatiable black hole of lust (for the dirty astronomist)...you get the idea.

And please, no “Sex Panther.” I’ve already been blacklisted for having S.P. in my possession already.

Thanks.

I hate colognes and fragrances. You’re better off with no scent. I’m actually more likely to avoid you if you have a smell. Any smell.

Soap and water are good. Failing that, Royal Copenhagen Cologne smells like baby powder on most men, and it’s one that’s hard to overdo.

How about Old Spice, Brut and Jovan Musk…

There’s a Gucci Por Homme I like that is very warm, spicy and clean as well as a Ralph Lauren purple which is a bit lighter and flowery but nice.
For some reason my current favorite is the mix of the Gucci, gun powder, lamb fat and Burt’s Bees lip balm and freshly laundered sheets

Acqua Di Gio by Giorgio Armani and Burberrry London for Men
I’ve never met a woman who didn’t like Acqua di Gio. It’s a clean, fresh, very subtle and masculine scent.

Your own pheromones will make her moan with desire!

The One by Dolce and Gabbana, Blue Jeans by Versace, (Black?) Code by Giorgio Armani.

I also like the numbered series from Dolce and Gabbana but I couldn’t find their real names. I’ve seen them at Nordstroms in the mens section.

I’m not big on commercial scents. If you’re going to wear anything scented at all, use a couple of drops of sandalwood essential oil, patchouli essential oil (or a combination of the two) in 2 tablespoons of olive oil. You can use it like cologne, or as a hair oil.

The smell of money.

His own. Really, I’m not much for colognes and such.

The smell of his own self. I was crazy about this guy and he went out of town for a while and, well, I missed him and I found myself smelling, deeply inhaling, the scent of one of his shirts. It’s smelled like him and that’s all I wanted, was the scent of what he smelled like. I don’t really like cologne on men. Just a personal preference I guess.

The smell of his own self. Aren’t those called pheromones?

Soap and himself.

BBQ sauce or nothing at all.

@lucillelucillelucille or nothing at all.

The question didn’t ask what the best outfit a man can wear for his woman… althiugh I see where you’re coming from!!!

Lacoste. OH MY GOD.

Paul Sebastian / However I think the scent of a man’s ambition, drive, and success trump just about everything else.

Good old soap and water and his smell.

Theoretically, women are drawn towards their fathers, so it would be the colognes their father’s wore. @njnyjobs would be correct with Old Spice, if that is what they wore.
Unfortunately, many girls will subconsciously be drawn to the smell of cheap asian hookers.

Eternity Aftershave by Kalvin Klein, or Polo by Ralph Lauren, the ladies love em.

Ralph Lauren Romance.

Then again it all depends on the man that’s wearing it.

@deni Well, now ur just being picky :)

@JeffVader

No way! We all have our own individual body chemistry, and we all react to scents in a different way.

I had this one perfume, “Haiku” by Avon, and everyone that wore it smelled different. When I wore it, it smelled like gardenias. My cousin smelled like cinnamon, and my sister smelled like lemons. My sister smelled so good with it on, I ended up giving it to her. ^_^

@Seek_Kolinahr That was mighty generous of you, I wish my family all smelled as good as your sound…. & you’re right, I’ve always been blessed by smelling as sweet as roses at all times….. Hahahahahaha!
Well maybe not roses but my last 2 gf’s were always saying I smelt nice, which is good as personal hygiene is kinda a bugbear of mine :)
.... Do Vulcans smell? I cant remember.
