How do I get symbols in my Facebook name?

Asked by jazzjeppe (2598points) March 15th, 2010

People have symbols and characters i their FB name, such as stars and hearts. There are a couple of ways to do this such as copy and past and alt+code, but I still can’t get it to work. Anyone knows how to do it?

On a Mac, you can do this simply by opening up the character pallette. I’m not sure how it works, just that it does most of the time. note in Snow Leopard it’s called the Character Viewer. ♥ ♣ ♠ ♦

Are you Prince?
Don’t do it.

Don’t get it, why would I be a loser and Prince if I wanted a little something in my name?

You can get different symbols by typing numbers holding the Alt key:

I say don’t make your name look weird but just use symbols different places on Facebook. It’s fun.

Cause if you want symbols and dumb names for Facebook just stay with Myspace.
