Does anyone else ever think of the universe and man kind as a bigger picture?

For some reason all my friends (mind you I’m a senior in highschool) look at me like I’m crazy anytime I talk about stuff “a person shouldn’t be thinking so hard about”. Also why does thinking about the universe make your brain hurt?
