is there any way to extract or record the audio off a youtube video?

there are some unrealesed songs I want I don’t think I’ll find to download is there a way to save record extract or copy the audio from a youtube video without losing quality

There are ways. If you’re on a Mac, Audio Hijack or WireTap will do this. I’m not sure how you’d do it on a PC, but it is definitely possible.

If you have QuickTime Pro, it will open a .flv file (use keepvid or something like that) and then you can Export audio-only to .mp3 or .aiff (or lots of other formats). VLC (videolan) should also be able to.

and you can download the FLV video file very easy with firefox plugins. just search the add-ons

and here is RMC, its awesome and does alot…

The easiest way is to copy the url of the youtube video to zamzar.com/url and select MP3 as the output format. Zamzar will automatically e-mail you the song download link once it has finished converting the audio.
