I loved the movie “The Philadelphia Experiment” when I was in junior high. I watched it again not long ago, and I couldn’t believe it. The main characters were suddenly so annoying!

@FutureMemory Better to be loved than not at all,the remake was terrible.

@Trillian You’re saying this looks outdated?

@ucme I can’t believe the guy posed for that picture. Now I will have trouble unseeing it.

My favourite movie as a kid was The Beastmaster

Especially the part with the guys who wrapped their wing-like things around intruders and turned them into Jell-O

@Trillian Zardoz is literally The Book of Eli.

Answer to question: Sadly, Labyrinth. But Bowie’s penis is eternal.

wtfrickinfrack's avatar

oh yeah…. and Gremlins.. that shit used to scare me SO bad. Now it’s just ridiculous.

Seek's avatar

@Grisaille – Yeah. they didn’t warn 10 year old me that Labyrinth was so… educational. ^_^

@Seek_Kolinahr I remember that! What a horrible, squishing noise! :-)

Big. I love that he gets a job working in “computers”—-i.e. the only floor that had any.

Excorsist- I t scared the pants off me the first time I saw it. I knew my bed was going to start shaking. But now it’s just dumb.

The Amazing Collassal Man was my favorite movie as a child, and now it is painful to watch.

@janbb I love that movie! I must give you lurve, because I only saw it once, in high school drama, like 12 years ago and I couldn’t remember the name of it. I’ve been trying to figure it out for years!

Airport (1970). With all the modern air security methods now, I laugh at how the guy was able to sneak a briefcase with a bomb onboard in that movie! The movie was exciting many years ago, but now it is dated.

@erichw1504 well…not as such….Dangit! I was thinking of the psychedelic bubbles on the wall when he was under the blanket with that girl.

Clash of the Titans. I LOVED that movie when I was a kid. Years later, I actually liked the fact that it looked so dated.

Sleeper still makes me laugh like crazy but people under the age of 30 don’t get the cultural references. They also don’t get how it’s funny that futuristic references have become real’ I love the idea of the orb and the orgasmatron and trying to clone a dictator from his nose. The Young Woody Allen was a genius before he bcame a dirty old perve.

faye's avatar

@galileogirl We laughed ‘til we cried at those orgasmatron scenes!

@figbash. You’ll probably love the remake then. The trailers for the new version look excellent.
