Unprogram a keyboard?

Asked by newbie16301 (9points) March 23rd, 2010

my cat programmed my keyboard. I don’t know what combination of keys she sat on, but now the whole right hand side of the keyboard is all numbers—eg, it goes qwerty456* and asdfgh123— I cannot find an easy way to unprogram it—rebooting did not solve it, and I find no relevant options under control panel – keyboard. It is an integrated keyboard on my IBM Thinkpad laptop, so I don’t want to have to always use a plug-in; I would like to reprogram so I can use the integrated one. ALT + Shift didn’t work either. Any suggestions?

Find the NumLock key. Press and hold Shift, then press and release NumLock.

This should do it.
