Did you see that there is a medical school (in Tennessee?) that promises an education with only three years? and less cost?

I want to know which “Doctors” get the shortened education—and which courses they miss! Do you think they’ll put that on their diplomas placed on their walls?

I know where you can get a no-year MD on the web, if you’re willing to pay for it.

You guys are ridiculous. Quit basing opinions on the education of these doctors without even looking at the curriculum of the school.

More details are needed to even preliminarily judge @skfinkel‘s vague statement.

Is it a joint 4+3 program? Do they not take traditional summer or winter breaks, therefore can fit in more material in the same time frame? Do they require more pre-requisite classes, therefore not have to re-teach many of the subjects available at the undergraduate level?

“To practice medicine as a physician, all States, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories require licensing. All physicians and surgeons practicing in the United States must pass the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE). To be eligible to take the USMLE in its entirety, physicians must graduate from an accredited medical school.

These licensor requirements have been put in to place long before any of us were born to make sure all the different schools with vastly different curriculum graduates practitioners that can provide, at minimum, the quality of care determined by their peers.

Here’s the link. Sorry, it’s Texas, not Tennessee. Fair criticism.
