Mac Mini -- when will it be updated?

Asked by rufuswashere (26points) March 28th, 2010

Thinking of getting a Mac Mini. Any idea when it will be updated? I have checked some of the Mac rumor sites, don’t see anything recently…

Probably not for a while according to this.

It was updated last september so it’s unlikely to have any mjor changes for a while.

So… it’s going to remain over a year behind the curve?

@johnpowell I was considering an iPod Touch. Thanks to your link, I guess I’ll hold off for now ;)

@jerv :: My predictions are new iPod touches and iPhones at WWDC in July. Both will use a A4 processor like the iPad and get a RAM increase. And iPhone OS 4 will be announced and that will support multitasking for third party apps. And the iPod Touch will get a camera. I still think the last iPod Touch was supposed to have a camera and the yanked it at the last minute for some reason. If you look at the mainboard it is obvious that there is a enply place where the camera would have gone.

*That is what I expect. I could be completely wrong.

I can’t handle this. I can’t wait for the new iPhone.

I have the original first gen iPhone, and I’ve held off on getting a 3G or 3GS. My g/f got the 3G and I noticed that her internet was not, in fact, much faster than my 2G probably due to AT&T’s bloated network.

I didn’t get the 3GS b/c it wasn’t really that much quicker than mine after using my buds for a time, and a “neat” compass app was hardly appealing to me.

I’ve loved mine for years, and finally, after 3 years of abuse, it finally crapped out the other day. I brought it back to life, but I’m scared b/c if it finally goes, I don’t want to have to buy a 3GS before the new one comes out & lose the subsidy.

I hope I don’t have to wait ‘til July. I thought it would be June. I know it’s just one more month but . . . still.
