(Oh, the temptation – with that headline…)

The obvious answer is the kennel clubs. They are both online and in the Yellow pages.

Good thing you put some details. I was expecting to see some really interesting answers.

I wouldn’t look to the Royal Family. They are very poor breeders.

@DarkScribe You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din.

Doesn’t @RichardHenry live there?

I mean, he might know! :)

My main port of call when trying to find dog breeders in the UK is www.champdogs.co.uk

Ah, too bad it’s the UK. I have a wonderful Oldie pup, and I’d love to support his breeder. ^_^

@Leanne1986 and @Seek_Kolinahr thank you for your advice, to @DarkScribe i dont understand your humour, and its not an obvious answer “kennel clubs”. I also know that things are online, i do have internet. The question is simple, does anyone know of any SPECIFIC breeders that breed bulldogs, this has nothing to do with kennels or the yellow pages. England is well known for breeding very good bulldogs, so perhaps someone who knows about bulldogs knows (hence why in my subject i t says “bulldogs” and “dogs”
@thriftymaid no need for irony. if you have nothing to say that helps people then you really shouldnt write anything at all.

@chian DarkScribe i dont understand your humour, and its not an obvious answer “kennel clubs”.

As far as understanding my humour goes, that is ok, there is no requirement for you to do so.

As for kennel clubs not being obvious, I can’t see why not. I have had dogs for most of my life and the various breed associated kennel clubs are exactly where most people go for such information. You can learn who is breeding what, when litters are due, who the sire is, what the various pedigrees are like. You can often look at on-line images and arrange to meet and view.

As for you comment to thriftymaid, what did you just do? You had nothing to say that would help her – why did you say anything at all?

(If you had made the comment to me I would just suggest that you go bite your bum – but that’s just me. Thriftymaid is probably far better mannered. )

@chian @DarkScribe is correct, the Kennel Club will be able to point you in the direction of breed associations which will be able to recommend decent breeders. If you are interested in rehoming a Bulldog then here is a good place to start www.bulldogrescue.co.uk

@DarkScribe still dont get it but nevermind. I am fully aware that if i go to a kennel i can get someones opinion about a breeder but i am not living in the UK to go and do such a thing. Also i presumed this site, fluther, was a site to ask questions, any questions, even obvious ones, or silly ones. My question is not asking the obvious, i wanted peoples personal contacts with any breeders they knew of so i could call one or look on their site immediately! I too have 6 dogs all my life and i also know as a half english person that one can go of course to kennels but having a breeders contact saves you going the long way (which again i thought this is what the site was for, to get an immediate response to smth, we can all after all spend hrs on internet researching!) as fir thrifty i responded to a comment, its not the same thing. If i dont know the answer to someones question i either try or dont write anything!! simple really!! Anyway enough said i think, we are rearing off the question and afterall is was mine and all i really want is to be in touch with some bulldog dog breeders in England…
