What's up with my foot?

I know! strange question.

Last night I woke up with a throbbing foot. I could not go back to sleep. No injury, no high shoes that day no insect bite. Today it feels better but not right. The pain is general not local to any area.

I went to the doctor and he did blood pressure, circulation test, heart reading all fine. I am well? What’s up with my foot?
