Music Transcription Software?
Does anyone know of a software that will transcribe what I play on the piano into sheet music?
I have a regular piano, not an electronic keyboard that could be hooked to a computer.

The newest version of Sibelius does this, but it’s really expensive software.
yeah Sibelius is good, wait you will have problems without using a midi instrument.
That’s some really sophisticated software you’re talking here. I’ve never heard of Sibelius, but if it really has the capability to turn a microphone’d acoustic piano’s notes into sheet music, it’s pretty damn epic. You’re better off using a basic notation software and just enter it yourself.
Yeah, the latest can do it supposedly from voice or instrument… They’re really trying to bring singers into their $600+ circle of friends I think. I’m sure it requires calibration of some kind…
Although, you know, for that much you can get a sweet USB MIDI board.

@tekn0lust Glad it worked. I’d expect it’s a lot easier to do with a direct method like Sibelius but I figured a workaround wouldn’t be too bad. How well did Amazing Midi work? I’m rather curious since I’ve done a little bit of sound processing in programming classes.
@Shuttle128 listen for $600 less I think most anyone is willing to take the extra steps! ;)
