Because sometimes there’s nothing better than getting lost in the feeling.

To imagine kissing someone else lol

They just do that for you! They don’t wanna see your ugly face and puke.

To focus all your senses on the kiss. Mmmm…

So far everyone but one has had an excellent answer. Why anyone would give a GA to the idiot response is beyond me.

So they don’t strain their eyes trying to stare at each other when they kiss. I’ve seen people do it and they get all cross-eyed lol

@MrGV Your answer was really good to. I was referring too @simone54‘s asshole remark.

Nobody looks good that close up! Really, I didn’t know anyone kept their eyes open, it’s just natural to close them.

Your vision becomes blurry at such a close focal range.

Either that, or they close their eyes to prevent being hit by the lasers that come out when the kisser is engaged.

For a real, passionate kiss that sends sparks flying through you, you don’t want any visual distractions. You want to just melt into the sensual experience of touch and smell.

@Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard UM. If you know of anyone who has lasers coming out of their eyes when they kiss, I need to befriend them right now. And then kiss them. THAT WOULD BE SO COOL.

Girls who kiss with their eyes open are hella sexy.

Most people can’t handle the intimacy of looking into someones eye at 1” distance.

TexasDude's avatar

@rangerr, well… I do. I’ve blinded thousands of girls that way though, unfortunately. It sucks to know that I will never find love because of my laser vision

I always kiss with my eyes open….It gets me into a bit of trouble though, it makes most people feel uncomfortable I guess.

I don’t like it when the other person opens their eyes as well, I like to be the only one.

One guy even described it as an invasion of privacy which I found interesting lol.

@Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard Well then. Hello, I’m Madi. Let’s be friends.

It makes it easier to take your partner to your own private romantic place. It also allows all of your sexuallity to respond appropriately.

Because crossed eyes are unattractive…

hug_of_war's avatar

I like opened eyes. I can’t concentrate with my eyes closed.

Because closed eyes are associated with sleeping.
Sleeping is associated with dreaming.
And making out can be rather….dreamy.

No, at my age, if I am passionately making out, I know darned well I’m dreaming.

@ETpro That is probably the funniest thing I have heard today. In fact I will take that thought to bed with me. I love to fall asleep with a smile on my face.
Thanks

Try it while opening your eyes!
It gets very uncomfortable as if you are checking on his / her face!

To give all of the conscious 100 bits per seconds to the tactile sense.

To lose yourself in the moment, to carry yourself to where you want to be.
Then, open your eyes and know why the moment existed.

sarahjane90's avatar

I occasionally kiss with my eyes open quite a lot :)
