Skype issues, and I need your help (details inside)

For some reason, suddenly the call button on Skype won’t work for me. I am now getting the message “Problem with playback device”. It was working for me before. I’m on a DELL laptop. What’s a girl to do?

Uninstall and reinstall Skype.

You appear to have changed your audio settings. Go into Control panel/Sounds and Audio Devices go to audio and try changing the default device to one on the drop down list. Check that Skype in its Option/Audio Settings menu is using the same device.

I did a reboot and it’s working now.
