Put your legs under the shower and turn the heat up SLOWLY as high as you can bear it, then slowly bring the temperature back to normal. May sound strange but it works.

you can buy avena oatmeal to add to a bath – over the counter at any drugstore. I think it is different from the kind of oatmeal you would buy in the grocery store—it’s specifically designed to stop your itching when added to a hot-water bath. I have a relative who uses this for eczema. I also remember using it when I had chicken pox as a child and it was the only thing that made it stop itching.

When I’m in Madagascar and have no access to…hygiene…I rely on Gold Bond powder. Works like a temporary charm.

If you truly have eczema, I’d recommend a trip to the dermatologist.

i had that same problem a few years back. aveno makes oatmeal soap that worked wonders. you just use it like a normal bar of soap. i got it at the grocery store or cvs.

I second brownelmur’s suggestion. I used gold bond medicated lotion on my shins to great success. Mine get itchy in the winter.

Try using aqueous cream instead of soap or shower gel when you are in the bath, dry yourself by patting your skin, never rub it. Then apply liberal amounts of Aveeno cream all over your body.
It certainly works for me.
