What topics for discussion interest you the most?

Asked by RealEyesRealizeRealLies (30951points) April 16th, 2010

Do you find you’re most interested in things that you know about, or in things that you don’t know about?

What has your experience on fluther taught you that you previously did not know?

What do you feel that you have contributed to fluther that would have been left unknown without you?

I’m interesed more in things I don’t know about, so I can continue learning of course. Fluther has taught me that internet forums are really awesome when you are bored at work (although I realized this before Fluther). ^^b

Well, I’ve always loved learning. I love things that make me think, make me laugh, & make me cry.

I don’t feel like I’ve made any specific contributions, but everything happens for a reason. Something drew me to this site, & it wasn’t just luck.

Luck is nothing but fate catching you by surprise.

I’ve learned a lot from my fellow jellies. I’d have to hear from someone else to answer your last question, I don’t know. But I’ve picked up some interesting tings about politics, current events, and lots of scientific information. I keep my eyes peeled for anything about super string theory in particular because I’m fascinated by it.

The mind bending ethical dilemmas and philosophical musings get my juices flowing.
Some of the real ambitious questions- astrophysics, science interest me also although I’m scant in my knowledge of some of these topics. Perhaps what interests me the most is the cognitive process itself and the ways people address this or fail to recognize it as a part of knowledge. Some people assume thinking is linear and fail to take into account that it’s quite fluid. I take delight in coming in the back door when they are waiting at the front.

I like the social commentaries. Because I have a hard time understanding the complexities of the current economy and I’ve got so many jellies who will educate me without judging. It’s a nice feeling. Also, the disscusions where someone is having a gnarly day and just wants a little bit of feel-goodness or reassurance about something or themselves.

Good question. Generally, I like answering questions I know something about.

I like too many to list, some I know about, most I don’t!
