Can you get Organ damage from light Running, especially if you have a weak body?

Asked by joscketSeper (323points) April 24th, 2010

Hi all. I’m male age 30. i have skinny limbs and a weak body . i kinda look like people with marfan’s syndrome. I’ve done exercise all mylife, and now with knee injuries etc, although not much, i still do enough exercise to keep in shape.

But, I’ve noticed since some years ago, when i run( even though it’s light) or even walk..my chest starts hurting. it feels like bruised.

Well yesterday i did light running for a long distance. Nothing you would think would kill a person. Except it did something to me. Cause i was having chest pain. it felt bruised and then i had to keep stopping. but i rested and then kept going.

Well, today(the next day) after the run, i feel like farting feeling and movement inside my chest. sometimes i even heart sounds.

I wonder if i overdid it yesterday?
It’s hurting alittle bit but not that much though.

Can this be that i had some organ damage? or what can it be and can it heal.

Weak body? Try swimming.

You are somaticising again. Take your meds, or see your shrink. It’s been a couple of weeks since you’ve had the urge to post here. I was hoping you were doing better.

I really believe this is a question best asked of a doctor who is familiar with your health history.

Organ damage from running? Highly unlikely. Sounds like you’re just terribly out of shape and got winded. Consult a doctor if you’re unsure.

Have you ever tried non impact, like Spring Forest Chi Gong, or Tai Chi, or light yoga?

People who actually do have Marfans syndrome frequently have heart problems associated with it and it’s been known to result in death if left untreated.

How on earth do you think anonymous people on the Internet possibly do anything about it or advise you.

You really need to be seeing a medical specialist.

Even if a doctor were reading this they would tell you the same.

Well, on second thought, Maybe you should try knitting instead of excercise.

Sounds like the cardio effect of running is too much for you. Try swimming or biking instead.

Well 2 days later. My chest insides are making this spasm and bubling sound. And i have slight pain. If i got some major damage, will i still be able to live?

or is this gonna lead into me dying?
