That’s ‘O Fortuna’ from Carmina Burana, by Carl Orff. Very popular for spooky movies and such. I nearly answered this without even playing the music first; it was almost a sure bet.

I didn’t know either, thanks @Jeruba

It is everywhere

Originally a drinking song composed by the medieval equivalent of frat boys, believe it or not.

@Jeruba Good catch. I seem to remember some of the old roman empire type movies had this music also.

Ha. I was going to do the same thing. Dramatic, chorus, popular: O Fortuna. There’s nothing else it would be. :)

Dies Irae! sang this for choir last month! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1C-GXQ1LdY

I am almost positive its that edit:yah its o fortuna, unfortunately, but still dies irae is a good song!

I find the music and background oddly fitting and comical haha

it was my marching band music for freshman year. best. show. ever.

Sanctu! Dominos! It’s what I sing whenever I need some dramatic music- like bagging up the recycling without spilling anything.

I’m partial to the movement of the Carmina Burana that follows this one, Fortune plango vulnera.

I bemoan the wounds of fortune with weeping eyes, for the gifts she gives to me she perversely takes away…

Isn’t she amazing. * sigh *

@DominicX, sometimes you answer this question first; sometimes I do. We’re both going to get it right.
