What are some nice ways to say I'm sorry or make something up to someone?

Asked by johnny0313x (1855points) May 2nd, 2010

I have a friend who had a fight with her boyfriend and she is looking for a way to say i’m sorry or make it up to him. I told her I would try and think of something or give her some ideas and since Fluther is full of creative people I thought I would ask here. What would be some ways you might say you are sorry to your spouse or someone you were dating but in a way that really seems like you are sorry? Keep in mind I don’t think they are to serious so it shouldn’t be anything to extreme. Also the reason she is apologizing is over something rather silly(in my opinion). It’s nothing serious like cheating or secret abortions etc. etc.

Really.. Saying you fucked up and apologizing is best. Most people won’t do that. Someone could shit on my cat and I would forgive them if they apologized.

lol @ shitting on the cat….I think that approach was taken already by her…I think now she is at the making it up to him part. She said she is going for something cute and movie like…I’m not the best with this kind of stuff and couldn’t really offer much advice… so I am asking here lol

She could just say she is sorry, give him a cuddle and say she loves him.

She should just call him and try to find out if he could meet her somewhere for coffe or tea. Then there she should apologize about what she did or said to him, maybe she’ll get a hug who knowsxD. It is even better that she thinks of apologising Imean other people never even think of doing that, they just act like nothing even happened!

A sincere “I’m sorry” and “I would never deliberately do anything that would upset you because you’re important to me.”

Being honest about the mistake is very important. Apologizing and asking for forgiveness comes next. No one should have to “make up” for a mistake. Mistakes should be forgiven and people move on. You can’t change what happened, but you can promise to do better.
