Today is national No Diet Day. so, what are your plans in the food department?

Asked by john65pennington (29258points) May 6th, 2010

If you remember pigging out for Christmas and Thanksgiving and gaining 50 pounds, then you have either honored your New Years Resolution or failed miserably to lose that weight. right? well, today is your No Diet Day! this means food freedom. how will you celebrate this glorious day? i think i will order not one, but two pizzas and celebrate in style. want to comsume a dozen doughnuts? no problem! this is national No Diet Day. what will be on your list of pig-out food items for today?

National No Diet Day, I’m liking this idea.

Tonight it’s going to be from scratch lasagne with homemade sauce and smoked mozzarella and an arugula salad topped with some of last night’s slow-grilled lamb and a nice dry red.

I think I’m in love with this day. I might have to go out for some waffles and bacon right now.

I am going to eat as many slices of German Chocolate Cake as I can cram down my throat!! YUM!!

john65pennington's avatar

Cruiser, don’t forget the milk.

Cruiser's avatar

@john65pennington Thanks but I expect I will be washing it down a beer with it tonight!! Milk would be too diety!! ;))

john65pennington's avatar

Cruiser, forget the Lite beer and guzzle down that heavy stuff. its okay, its national No Diet Day.

Agreed @john65pennington! Nothing washes down chocolate cake better than a British pub ale! Cheers!!

Every day is no diet day for me.
I have the problem of not being able to gain weight.

But I just started out with chocolate syrup covered waffles.

john65pennington's avatar

My mother loves peanut butter on waffles. never had that or chocolate. how is it?

rangerr's avatar

I think it’s good. I don’t even like chocolate, but I enjoy it with waffles.
Then again, I like anything with waffles.

talljasperman's avatar

I will see if I can get some banana PB & J sandwiches maybe with some chocolate spread and Fluffer marshmellow.

taljasmerman, you are going to gain that 50 pounds in just one day with that combination. go for it. its No Diet Day!

Later, I may go to dinner with my bff; but we haven’t decided where. In between, I may eat a yogurt.

Every day is No-Diet day for me. I don’t believe that ‘dieting’ is effective, because eventually, people go off the diet. Instead, I choose to eat sensibly, but also to indulge from time-to-time. I lost about 35 pounds last year, and I have gained only a little back since I haven’t been to the gym because of the holidays, then my car accident, and now my surgery. It’s about lifestyle – loving and respecting one’s body, mind, and soul in balance.

Well, I don’t generally diet—I have eating habits for better or for worse. But today I am going to the craft store and Chick-fil-a is there, so I will have some chicken nuggets and waffle fries because they are delicious. So, even if I don’t need to celebrate no-diet-day, I will. With junk food.

Not for long…

Well, I’ll just have to mark my calender and celebrate with a hefty green salad.
Followed by a hefty cheesecake chaser!!!

Happy No Diet Day everybody!!!

Be sure to let me know when the “No Excercise Day” comes around, I wanna party like it’s 1999 on that day!!!

I’m making pecan pie tonight, and dough for beignets tomorrow morning.

For me everyday is No Diet Day, as I don’t believe in them.

Since you mentioned it though… and in the spirit of… I’m standing in the burrito line at Chipotle right now :)

Dinner tonight = pizza + beer during Survivor

@rangerr ~ I tend to have the same affliction. Hang in there girl! Oh, and I highly recommend Kashi blueberry waffles + cream cheese.

Is it just a coincidence that National Prayer Day and National No Diet Day coincide?

mcbealer's avatar

kenmc's avatar

I’ve ate 3 slices of pizza today. I probably won’t eat again till around 11pm, though.

Every day is no-diet day for me. Although I did eat at KFC today…

hearkat's avatar

I was looking at today’s date on Wikipedia (because it’s my beau’s birthday), and No-Diet Day is stated to be an International observance. I had never heard of it prior to
this question, though.
