I do not know – ask the Fluther God – prayer works for some.

Shouldn’t this be in the META section?

jonsblond's avatar

@Dr_Lawrence It should. I wasn’t happy with my original question, which would have been a social question, but I couldn’t delete it. I came up with this question instead, so my original question would disappear.

I’d pretty much like to delete every question I’ve asked.

But I would much rather delete my Activity section and start fresh. I mean if I had to choose.

YARNLADY's avatar

@jonsblond Why did you not simply address your question directly to those who know the actual answer – the contact button?

jonsblond's avatar

@RedPowerLady I have many questions I would love to delete. usually beer was involved when asking. :/

@YARNLADY My question would still be in the social section. I was within the time frame to edit, so I did.

RedPowerLady's avatar

@jonsblond —ROFL. Unfortunately my questions just ended up being dull and they embarrass me, haha. But I can very much see how booze could cause that reaction, lol—

RedPowerLady's avatar

@YARNLADY I don’t know. I like this question. It’s funny. Anyhow, sometimes when you ask a meta question it helps get attention to what you would like to happen. Well I think…

YARNLADY's avatar

@jonsblond @RedPowerLady So…. it’s a toss up between wanting an actual solution or just creating a Fluther “drama”. – OK, attention for it’s own sake, I can dig that.

RedPowerLady's avatar

@YARNLADY No not attention for attention’s sake. You can solve a problem and have fun. I don’t think this is dramatic.

jonsblond's avatar

Drama? I’ve always wanted this option. I’ve asked many questions in the heat of the moment that I would love to take back. I found the perfect moment to ask this question since I wasn’t happy with my original.

I’m no drama queen….please. I stay away from drama. HATE IT!

YARNLADY's avatar

@RedPowerLady—I’m not saying the asking is drama, but asking in the wrong place – the “contact” button which goes directly to those who can solve this issue is the right place for this type of question.
@jonsblond Oh, yes, I can see that~

RedPowerLady's avatar

@YARNLADY I guess we disagree. That’s cool.

I mean the question that I asked earlier today, I guess I could have used the “contact” button to solve it. But I decided to ask Fluther instead and it worked really well for me.

jonsblond's avatar

@YARNLADY what’s with the sarcasm? My original question was for the social section. Sorry this question is in the wrong place.~

sigh…this is why I hate this place anymore. I don’t need this fucking drama. I have enough IRL

[mod says] Question has been moved to Meta. FWIW, Meta is for questions about Fluther, so this question is entirely appropriate here.

Thank you Auggie. :)

Ah, that’s better.

Hey guys, no, the option to delete your question is not in the works right now. Once you’ve asked a question that’s suitable for Fluther, assuming all of the answers are also suitable for Fluther, it would be unfair to let askers also delete people’s hard work answering the question.

Sorry! Hope this helps.

I’m one of the staff here.

Thanks for answering @richardhenry. Would it be possible for the users to delete their question within the first 5 minutes or so of asking it? That was my problem last night. I wasn’t happy with my question within the first 2 minutes of posting it. No one had answered it yet, so instead of letting it sit until I could contact a mod about it, and giving it the opportunity for others to answer, I came up with this question instead. If we could delete it within a small time frame, it would be less work for the mods wouldn’t it?

Just curious. :)

RedPowerLady's avatar

I knew that was the answer but I still support being able to delete them. Haha. Only because mine turned out to be so lame.

richardhenry's avatar

@jonsblond Yeah, that could work. Allowing you to delete it before there’s any answers would be okay. We’re really busy right now working on things under the hood, but I’ll bring it up with the team.

For now, if you flag your question with “No answers yet, could you delete this?” and a mod manages to catch it in time, we’ll happily delete it for you.
