Shipping Luggage to a Camp in Canada from USA?

Asked by rufuswashere (26points) May 9th, 2010

I live in Boston, but my daughter spends her summer at a camp in Canada. The airlines are now charging a fortune for big duffle bags ($150/bag each way). Anyone know of a cheaper way to ship these?

UPS or FedEx will ship them for you.

Sorry got interrupted. I ship stuff for my backpacking and camping all the time. As long as you have an address, and someone there willing to sign for them, you will have no problems shipping things to the camp. Check with Canadian and US customs to make sure what you send is properly labeled to avoid duties or tariffs.

The UPS and Fed Ex web sites will give you an exact cost, if you have the addresses, box weight and dimensions.

I ask for packages to be sent via US post as Fedex and UPS each charge insane fees at the border that get tacked onto your final bill.

I’ve always had great service with US post.
