How do I change the size of icons on my macbook pro desktop?

Asked by nmguy (528points) May 10th, 2010

When I try to enlarge the size of icons on my MacBook Pro desktop (Finder/View/Show View Options/Icon Grid Size), I drag to the preferred size, but a day or so later, I’m stuck with very small icons again.

Where am I going wrong?

I’m not sure where you are going wrong, but if you are at the desktop and have finder as the active program you can use a simple pinch-type stroke on the touch pad to change the icon size. do an “anti-pinch” to enlarge them

When you change the icon size, click the button at the bottom of the window that says “Use as Defaults”. That should keep the icons as the size you set them.
