Does anyone know the name of this dog toy?

Asked by Canada4ev (17points) May 20th, 2010

I had this toy as a kid but I left it at a friends house and I never had time to reclaim it before she moved. I know since now I’m 16 thats its kind of weird but I want it again! Plus I think it would look pretty cute in my bedroom.

It’s like this big plush doggy and it had an opening in it’s stomach and held like 5 smaller puppies that sort of looked like it..

I remember those toys. I found this information on them. They are vintage.

I did find this available now, but they are not in the stomach.

Oh, I forgot to say. They are called surprise animals.

Oh man, I used to have one of those too! Yeah, @marinelife got it with the Puppy/Kitty Surprise.

Some of the toys they released back in the 90’s were pretty weird, including this one when you think about it.

Thanks for bringing back a childhood memory, @Canada4ev !

Right Puppy Surprise! I can hear the jingle in my head. Puppy Surprise, Puppy Surprise, how many puppies are there inside? There can be 3 or 4 or 5! Holy shit and WOW don’t ask me how I remembered that. I just scared myself a little!

Didn’t they also make cats, horses and rabbits? Maybe some others, too. But I’m pretty sure that from where I’m sitting right now I can actually see one of the baby bunnies on a bookshelf…
