Advice on contraceptive pill?

OK so im on microgynon 30 and i take my pill for 2 months before having a break, i spoke to a friend and she said its wrong to do so as it can affect my fertility, is this true? also i have my period for 7 days whether i take the pill for 1 or 2 months. would there be anything i could take to make my period shorter? i don’t like the implant idea and im petrified of needles. i wondered if there was a pill i could take with no break, thanks
