What is a good microphone to get for voice recording?

Purpose: podcast, voice acting, youtubeesque videos

To use with: PC (maybe a mac in the future)

Final desired quality: clear sound, no background noise.

Extras: Final recording will be compressed to achieve a small file size (Stereo)

Budget: around $100.00 (flexible, if justified)

I’m a noob when it comes to audio, I don’t know if I’m gonna need extra hardware to connect the microphone to. Or if I can record the audio then transfer it to my pc. or have it connected to my pc while recording.
