What do you call Pink Grapefruit Juice and Vodka?

Asked by ETpro (34605points) May 22nd, 2010

Grapefruit juice and vodka is called a Greyhound. Does pink grapefruit juice and vodka have its own name. It seems odd to call it a Greyhound, as I have never seen a pink racing dog. I wouldn’t want to insult such a proud species of canines.

If this libation doesn’t already have a cool name of its own, what should we propose as a new name for it?

Looking it up: “It is indeed called a “Greyhound”, but if you put salt on the rim it is then called a “salty dog”.

@lucillelucillelucille Amen to that. Great way to get an extra serving of fresh fruit1

@MissA A Greyhound still. I thought maybe a Pink Poodle or some such.

@YARNLADY Oh, I like that name! The thought of Greyhound in Heat crossed my mind, but it might not sell well in a bar.

@YARNLADY yep, thats it. And I’m bookmarking the site, I saw some pretty interesting recipes I would like to try.

GQ I call it my favorite mixed drink. Naturally, being a dog lover, now I ♥ it’s official name.
