Is there a way to get photos out of the internet explorer history feed?

Asked by meagan (4670points) May 27th, 2010

I’d like to figure out a way how to get photos out of the internet history feed on internet explorer.

Is there a way to do this? I’m not particularly interested in keeping up with what pictures I’m looking at through the day :P

Yeah, wipe your history. Go to Tools and on the top you should have an option to delete your history.

@Pandora I’d rather it just not automatically do this. Is there not an option that I can click so that it stops keeping track with what photos I’m viewing on firefox? Its all a bit strange to me

Tools menu->Start Private Browsing
Then it won’t save any history at all.

There is also a setting in the preferences/options “Automatically start Firefox in a private browsing session.”

@jaytkay I’m sorry, I’m not finding private browsing on IE

Ahh, that was for Firefox.

Internet Explorer equivalent is InPrivate Browsing

I think you have to go to your TOOLS then go to INTERNET OPTIONS, under GENERAL you will see the option to check DELETE HISTORY as you exit. As for firefox, I don’t know. I had it once but it was messing up my computer.
I found this site and it tells you how to delete it in Firefox and set it for a day before deleting. Keep in mind you may want to disable your cookies as well if you simply don’t want anyone to look at your stuff but some web sites you will not be able to access without your cookies enabled. Just because its not saved in you computer under history doesn’t mean that the info can’t be found.
