Is this He-Man Meteorb Astrolion I found an original?

Asked by owenburnett (183points) May 30th, 2010

I luckily spotted a He-Man Meteorb Astrolion toy at a flea market and bought it for 80 cents. It’s not carded, but otherwise in absolutely perfect condition. As far as I know, the Meteorbs were never re-released by Mattel when they started re-releasing the classic He-Man toys. So, I’m wondering if this is an original that I’m holding. There are no “Mattel” inscriptions anywhere (only “China”) and the only difference I can see from pictures online is that the eye color is black instead of red. Can anyone tell me if what I have could possibly be the original from 1987? Here’s a link to what I’m talking about: http://www.he-man.org/collecting/toy.php?id=1469

Posting a picture would be pretty helpful. That said, the link you provided says that the toys were produced in Malaysia, not China.
