Whitening Toothpastes. Do Any of Them Work?

Asked by GrumpyGram (830points) June 2nd, 2010

Are the whitening toothpaste ads honest? Or just a crock to get everyone in the world to try them? None worked for me. Have You found one that really whitens teeth?

Gleem and Ultra Brite are the best as far as regular toothpastes. All of the others use a different whitening ingredient that is less effective. Read the ingredients.

I like the Arm and Hammer whitening gel ( I don’t know the official name for it). You just put it on top of your regular toothpaste when you brush.

Just starting using the new Crest 3D White Vivid toothpaste. I’ll let you know how it turns out.

I, every now and then, buy and use Pearl Drops Smokers Whitening Toothpaste.
To be honoust, i can’t see a big change when the tube is finished (other then the higher bank account of Pearl Drops).
When i was still a small rebbel, a guy in my neighbourhood said he used to use Vim scouring powder.
That didn’t work either.
