I know it may be trite to say but Thriller has to be pretty high up there.

Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” video. Besides its eighty trillion product-placement spots, it has Beyonce and leopard suits.

My Darkest Hour by Scary Kids Scaring Kids is pretty good. Tastes Like Kevin Bacon by iwrestledabearonce makes me laugh. Carefull… That one has lots of screaming. The New Black by Every Time I Die is a pretty good one too.

Franz Ferdinand has great videos, as does Gnarls Barkley. I grew up fascinated by the videos made for Peter Gabriel’s “Us” album, like Sledgehammer and Big Time.

I’m big on art direction in music videos. Pretty much any video Michel Gondry did back in the day, I like, such as Seven Nation Army and The Hardest Button to Button and Come Into My World.

How about absolutely insane like Mexican Radio by Wall of Voodoo?

I have to agree with @aprilsimnel about Sledgehammer and Big Time. Also, while I am not a fan (well, I like some of her stuff), a lot of Madonna’s videos over the years are very creative and cutting edge.

How about Losing my Religion by REM?

I forgot about Hell Bent by Kenna. Great claymation video! The video is actually from a short film, written and directed by Mark Osborne, called More but it makes a great visual for Kenna’s song.

@aprilsimnel I was just going to mention “Crazy”. One of my favorites.

As far as others, you have to mention OK Go. Both of those are a few of my favorites, and I’m not even a huge fan of the songs.

I also really like some of the Chemical Brothers (My favorite Michel Gondry video) because they’re a good mix of silly and good stories.

I always liked Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel

Damn you, @jjmah. I can’t quit thinking of thins question and I keep thinking of others.

Feathers by Coheed & Cambria is pretty creative.

I agree with @aprilsimnel and @filmfann, Peter Gabriel made a quality music video with “Sledgehammer.” Otherwise, I’d have to say Take On Me by A-Ha. The drawn style is something I’ve never seen anywhere before.

I second Take On Me by A-Ha. I also love R.E.M.‘s Everybody Hurts

Here’s a new one to like, kids, from our friends in Broken Bells, starring Christina Hendricks (who plays “Joan [Holloway] Harris” on Mad Men)!

One of my favourite videos is “Sing for Absolution” by Muse. It’s a whole science-fiction movie condensed into one song and it’s brilliant.

Not to hijack this thread, but if there are any geeks around, can anyone help me with this question ?

I forgot one:

Closer – Nine Inch Nails

Anyone who is a fan of disturbing medical-like imagery might enjoy that. It is good enough to have actually disturbed me.
