How can i open an animated GIF file?

Ok so i looked up ’ dancing animated GIF’ . when i found one i wanted, i clicked save. when i try to open it up, it wont work. is there something that needs to be downloaded so that i can open the GIF files and possibly put them in windows movie maker. i just wanna add that i have windows 7 , so i dont know if thats any more helpful

Try opening it with your web browser.

open in what sense? won’t it dance?

If you want it to dance, try drag-n-dropping the file into a web browser window, then it should appear. I’m not sure it will work for you, but it does for me on Safari, Google Chrome and Firefox.

I just did save image as and went to the file and clicked it and it played in windows viewer.
What is the problem?

Or you can make your own in Adobe Fireworks or some open source programs. Picasa may even do it.Just put a couple of image variants on a timeline and save as a gif.
