Does anyone use the Elegato hybrid tuner on an iMac with EyeTv 3.3 software? Have you been having problems since the upgrade?

I have used the hybrid tuner with EyeTV on my iMac for several years and it has worked fine until the last upgrade. Now it seems to have just gone crazy. It spontaneously records when I have not asked it to record anything and worst of all it, spontaneously exports things when I have not asked it to export anything. That is particularly annoying because when it is exporting it is like my computer is running through molasses. If I exit out of EyeTV it solves the problem but I would really like not to have the problem in the first place.
