Which movie musicial score is the most popular/famous?

Asked by john65pennington (29258points) June 11th, 2010

A lot of movies have been made that were really made famous by the musical score of the movie itself. a good example is Love Story. several songs from that movie were outstanding. what’s your choice in a movie that you remember, simply because of its musicial score?

The Mission.

Oh and Scent of a Woman was great.

I second Garden State as having one of the best soundtracks.
However, the theme song to Requiem for a Dream is just phenomenal.

Psycho, Jaws and 2001 Space Odyssey.

I think the most famous is the waah waaahhh wahhhhh (higher pitched now) wah waaaaaa waaahhhh one. The one that’s in every shot of a tumbleweed or a showdown at high noon.

ETA- forgot a bit. My favorite soundtrack is Kundun. It’s big, brassy and light at the same time. Escape to India

@Vunessuh I agree—Requiem for a Dream is very good as well.
