I received a bunch of Threadless t-shirts. Unfortunately, I ordered a size too big and now I'm going to toss them all into the wash to shrink. Will the colors run?

I have 8 new shirts here and I wanted to wash them all in one go. Safe?

Why not return them for the right size? But if you want to wash them, check whether the label says the dyes are colorfast or not. If the washing instructions sound fnicky, I would wash them one at a time in cold water, then you could dry them all together for the shrinkage.

I agree-return them for the right size.

Return them. Often the fabric is preshrunk and you’d be wasting your time. Are they 100% cotton or cotton blend? (I’ve never heard the term ‘threadless’) if they’re 100% cotton, they might shrink a little more if you dry them hot in the dryer, but not a whole size.

if you can’t return them… washing them depends on the colors. if there’s any red, NO don’t wash them together. and if you do wash them together (if there’s no red) then make sure it’s cold water….

T-shirts generally don’t shrink in the wash. return them.

If you really want to keep them, divide them into 2 piles – dark colours in one, lighter colours in the other. Put red with the darks.

I threw them all in on hot (water), then took them out and toss them in the dyer. The colors didn’t run and they definitely shrunk.

I’m glad you got back to us on this. I was curious.
