Do you know of any easy, light, hats that I could crochet?

Asked by ChocolateReigns (5624points) June 21st, 2010

I’ve been wanting a hat kind of like this one for a while now, but I would never buy anything from American Girl, and I can’t find any patterns online. It would be a crochet project, right? Or a knitting project? Would it be very hard? I’ve done a little bit of crocheting and I’m a pretty experienced knitter. My mom knows how to do anything knitting-wise, and I’m pretty much on my own as to crocheting.

Oh yes, very easily. It would be crochet.

I would recommend Ravelry for patterns. You have to join to see them, but they have tons of patterns plus a great community there. Everyone has been very helpful. Oh, and there are groups you can join- so you could find people who share your interests or live near you.

Looks like it’s either granny squares or some sort of medallion that’s joined together.

I’m with her. Ravelry is a great site.
