What ticked you off and ruined your day?

Asked by Hypocrisy_Central (26879points) July 1st, 2010

Did anything piss you off and ruin today for you? Maybe the dog crapping on your recently cleaned carpet, someone scratching the paint on your new car, getting toner on your best top, getting fired, etc? Were you lucky enough to get through the day unscathed?

I want to the park and sat in the sun and drank beer and read half a book. Came home once it got dark and drank a bit more while cleaning up my website. I don’t think I have actually talked to anyone today. I like it that way.

I lost my bank card and spent all day looking for it. It completely ruined my day because yesterday I was supposed to get fingerprinted for the my Pharm Tech classes and I didn’t have enough cash on me. Today was supposed to be a second try, but I don’t feel right leaving the house without know where it is. I called everywhere and checked everywhere and I swear it’s somewhere near me, but I can’t find it. Grrr

An event might make me mad, but very few events ruin my day!

I had Fios installed, and the TV went out ½ an hour after the technician left. I spent much of the say on the phone with their tech support to no avail. They told me they could not get anyone out here until Friday.

Finally, at the end of the day the installer called back to check and I told him what was going on and he came back this morning and fixed it within ½ an hour.

Yesterday was annoying to say the least. I was on the phone with AT&T for 2 hours because the website wouldn’t let me log in. Do you think they even fixed the problem after 2 hours of trying? Nope. Still isn’t working. I’m feeling just a little bitter towards them. But I wouldn’t say it ruined my day completely.

Oh yeah. The runaround between my doctor’s office, the insurance company and my pharmacy. The pharmacy says the insurance company says I need preauthorization. The insurance company says they called the doctor three times and don’t have to call him any more. The doctor’s office says they already gave the preauthorization. I got very testy last night. I was fulminating with a vengeance!

py_sue Abut the only thing worse would be to have lost the whole purse or wallet, then yu have to run around and replace everything.

wundayatta Stupid red tape can make me surely see red, don’t get me started.

Right now… the 3+ hour delay (and counting) in O’Hare Airport.

@Dr_Dredd Give me the winning Power Ball lotto numbers I will make sure you and 5 of your closest buds can travel the world 1st class plus in a private jet no waiting on my dime ;-)

@Hypocrisy_Central I would if I could, believe me. You should see the gate area. People stretched out everywhere, lying on their luggage. There are at least 3 large flights delayed at this point. Mine’s not scheduled to leave until after midnight (for now…) :-)
