Is looking back fascinating for you?

Of course, if you’re really young you don’t have to look back that far. One of the advantages to being older is getting to look back in time and just shake your head in awe at the history being made while you were watching, but had no clue.

As a teen I had serious, major crushes on both Donny Osmond and Micheal Jackson (and various and lesser teen gods.) For some reason, although it was true love, there didn’t seem to be any conflict with me being in love with 2 boys (sometimes there might be 4 or 5 others added in the mix then shuffled out, but those two were my constant for probably three years.)

I started out today browsing Youtube for Flip Wilson, and wound up here and there and every where…and then I found this. Micheal Jackson and Donny Osmond TOGETHER!!! Since we only had 3 channels back in them days, you KNOW my folks knew about this AND DIDN’T TELL ME!!! I was a good girl but they knew they’d have a total mutiny on their hands if it was on and I wasn’t allowed to watch. They’d hear the sobbing in the next county!

Part of what is fascinating to me about this clip, is how self assured Donny O is, and how shy Micheal J is. Donny is damn near patronizing to him.

How were they to know…...how was anyone to know…..
